Prothane T/C Rod Bushings

    One of the most troublesome bushings on the 240SX and 300ZX, this silicone filled "donut-shaped" bushing which is pressed into the Tension Control rod, is one of the first bushings that wears out. When it fails, the viscous filling will leak out, and corrode your front suspension's paint finish, and will cause erratic steering (especially at highway speeds). The front end will also make a "clunk" noise when you make tight turns. Fix the problem with these Prothane replacement bushings. 

Energy Suspension TC Rod Bushings

Now offering an alternative, Energy Suspension now has their revised 3 piece TC Rod bushings which make installation easier. This 3 piece polyurethane bushing replaces the silicone filled TC Rod bushing that is the number one bushing to wear on Nissan 240SX’s and 300ZX’s. Once this bushing wears, the front end will shimmy under hard braking and wander under load. (the TC Rod is the only arm that locates your lower control arm under stress, and this bushing is very soft and pliable from the factory which allows excessive arm movement.) Translation: Change the TC Rod bushings and your steering is more precise and braking much more consistant and controlled.

Replace your entire arms with brand new Nissan Factory TC Rods, with fresh viscous filled bushings.  These goo filled bushings are one of the first bushing on all 240SX's  to wear out.  Does your front end clunk when turning sharply, or braking hard ?  Do the front wheels shimmy under braking ?  Had your rotors resurfaced time after time and still have that shimmy ?  Is there a small gooey puddle under the front of your car that you can't figure out where it came from ?
