Lowering your AE86 helps with both appearance
and performance but to optimize its' handling,
the suspension geometry must also be altered
as you lower it. Like many older MacPherson
Strut designed cars with shorter front
lower control arms, the more you lower
the AE86, the more you affect the suspension
geometry. With the AE86, lowering can
drastically change the front role center.
To correct the front changes in geometry
from lowering, Whiteline have introduced
the Roll Center Adjustment kit (KCA363).
A beautiful gold anodized billet aluminum
spacer, these components help to re-align
the front lower control arms back to proper
specs once your AE86 has been lowered.
Simply fitted between the top of the front
lower control arm and the bottom of the
front strut, this spacer will help to
re-align your roll center after lowering
the car. |

Adjustable Lateral Rod Arm
In the rear the stock panhard rod or lateral
rod will push your rear end off center if
left untouched. To fix this an adjustable
rod is needed that can correctly center your
rear end. Whiteline's panhard rod (KPR010)
fits the bill perfectly. The adjustability
allows for different variances of lowering
and adjustability, perfect for those that
run lowering springs or adjustable coil-overs,
and need the adjustment. Fitted with Super
Pro polyurethane bushings, these beefy bars
make for a nice addition to your Corolla.

AE86 Adjustable Swaybars
The
roll center of your car was discussed above,
but what about just plain chassis roll ? During
spirited street driving, track racing, or
auto-x,the amount of body roll your car has
can be very detrimental to the speed you are
able to carry into, through and out of corners,
slowing your overall lap times. The weight
of your car leaning onto one side puts a great
amount of stresses on that side's suspension
components and tires, and does not allow the
inside tires to take it's share of the cornering
loads. Plain and simple, a floppy car does
not handle nice, and does not instill any
confidence in the driver.
To really beef up your suspension and to
greatly improve lateral grip we highly recommend
Whiteline's adjustable front and rear anti-sway
bars. Whiteline's adjustable sway bars are
extremely popular with our Nissan 240SX and
Subaru Impreza and WRX customers, and we are
very excited to offer them to the Toyota AE86
crowd !
Adding adjustable swaybars is one of our
first recommendations, as the differences
before and after are like night and day. The
gains alone of a sway bar are tremendous with
the most common response being "this
is how the car SHOULD be". For the AE86
we offer 4 WAY adjustable front and rear bars

to a car's overall state of suspension tuning,
allowing the owner to custom set up his ride

more oversteer for drift - you can quickly

endlinks.

These links are designed
and engineered for serious race and auto-x
applications, for customers with adjustable
suspensions that require adjustable endlinks
for the Whiteline adjustable swaybars for
corner weighing purposes. Stock Whiteline
links are great for street cars, but for
demanding racers and enthusiasts know that
in order to properly corner weigh cars and
balance their car's suspension, adjustable
links are an absolute must.
Using superior quality Aurora
Teflon lined rod ends (not cheap inferior
quality rod ends) PDM has pieced together
these adjustable links for high performance
use. These are high strength, 3 piece precision
alloy units, constructed with chrome moly
alloy steel bodies, alloy steel races with
Teflon liners for precision fit and durability,
and alloy steel hard chromed heat treated
balls.

AE86 Front Polished Alloy Strut Tower Bar
To stiffen up the front end of the AE86 chassis
we offer the Whiteline front upper adjustable
alloy strut brace. For a reasonable price
you can stiffen up the front end of your car
and dress up your clean engine bay. Polished,
aluminum alloy center brace with adjustable
ends, this strut brace will help to solidify
your front upper chassis.

NGK Spark Plug Wires
When a spark plug fires, it
creates a great deal of radio frequency interference
(RFI). Uncontrolled, this can show up as static
in the radio or other electronic devices,
or much more seriously, in electronic ignitions,
fuel injection, and engine management systems.
This interference with EFI and engine management
systems can cause "cross talk" between
wiring harnesses resulting in poor running,
misfiring and decreased performance.
NGK Resistor Spark Plug Wire
Sets utilize a construction method known as
"variable pitch" wire winding to
create resistance to radio frequency interference.
The variable pitch winding (loose/tight/loose)
provides suppression throughout a very wide
range by "scrambling" and breaking
up the electrical waves radiated by the firing
of the spark plugs.

NGK Iridium IX Plugs
Iridium
is a silver-white precious metal that is among
the densest materials on earth. Since
it’s so dense, it will outlast Platinum
and Copper plugs. Plus this ultra-
hard material also enables the plug center
electrode to be 25% narrower than Platinum,
and 75% narrower than conventional nickel
electrodes, which requires less voltage to
spark, and delivers increased burn efficiency,
sparks at leaner air/fuel mixtures, and
produces better gas mileage and higher horsepower.
Iridium plugs are a must for turbocharged
and high compression or high revving
NA motors.
NTK Oxygen Sensor

O2 sensors, or Oxygen
Sensors, are used in your ae86 Corolla
to help control the fuel and ignition
system, to allow proper fuel mixture
for idle, performance and fuel mileage.
O2 sensors are located in your exhaust
manifold, and monitor the amount of
Oxygen in your exhaust gases, which
in turn indicate the fuel mixture. O2
sensors send signals to the computer,
which then adjusts timing and fuel delivery.
Most cars are very sensitive to proper
O2 sensor function, and without an O2
sensor, these cars will idle erratically,
run excessively rich, and give poor
performance and mileage. Also an improperly
working O2 sensor will plug up your
catalytic converter causing it to smell
like rotten eggs (and give very poor
performance). O2 sensors DO plug up,
and wear out over time, and we strongly
recommend you change your O2 sensor
once a year.

Powerslot Rotors
PDM Racing is now stocking extreme performance Power Slot rotors for the Corolla AE86.
Excessive heat from heavy braking can cause resins in your brake pads to vaporize, or
"outgas". Also as the brake pad wears, the used friction material turns into a fine
dust. This layer of gas and excess brake material builds up to create a boundary of
carp between your rotor and brake pad, which decreases braking performance.

Why should you upgrade to slotted rotors?
Power Slot's exclusive "Vac-U-Slots" are machined into the rotor which helps to
evacuate these gases and dust, to shed heat and to keep the brake pad surface clean.
This compliments your pad and rotor surface by "wiping" it clean for better, more
consistant braking. In addition, during wet conditions, these slots help to push the
water off the braking surface for better stopping power. (slotted rotors were
originally engineered for rain racing).
Furthermore, these slots are machined exactly to the minimum rotor thickness.
This will indicate that it's time to replace your rotors once the slots are no
longer visible.

In the past we've bought and sold DOT brake line kits from suppliers like Russell and Goodridge; however, we constantly were fighting manufacturer back-orders and lee times which frustrated the hell out of the owner. Brake Fluid
| DOT 5.1 BRAKE FLUID
This polyglycol based brake fluid vastly
exceeds the highest DOT specs. For use
in all systems that require a DOT 3,
DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 fluid. With its very
low viscosity, this brake fluid is specially
designed for today's newer ABS systems
where a very thin fluid is needed to
circulate in modern complex ABS systems
with microvalves and anti-locking systems.
Also for older, first generation ABS
systems more sensitive to a brake fluid's
viscosity. A full synthetic based fluid
that has unreal 509 degree dry boiling
point, and similar 365 degree wet boiling
point, it will outlast all normal Dot
3 and Dot 4 fluids easily. PDM has been
testing this fluid and find it vastly
superior to any other street fluid on
